Barry LeBlanc In the past, it was the borrower’s responsibility to take time from work to travel to the escrow office to sign their loan documents. Because of lender competition for customer service, a need was created for the Notary Public to become mobile and to gain the training and specific skills to handle the complex duties of loan documents.
A Certified Signing Agent (CSA) is a Notary Public who specializes in notarizing the signatures of the party (ies) involved in real estate loan documents for the purpose of closing a real estate transaction.
CSA’s specialize in short notice, odd-hours and emergency signings. I am always happy to accommodate the Borrower’s schedule, be it daytime, evening, a weekend or holiday. Typically, I meet clients at a location of their choice, most commonly at their home or office, or perhaps the real estate office originating the transaction.
In addition to services provided as a Certified Signing Agent, I am also able to provide services as a Notary Public including:
